Cranberry-Orange Punch
This punch is probably one of my personal absolute favorites. I usually find most punches to be cloyingly sweet, but the large amount of cranberry juice and tartness of the orange juice help keep this punch just on the edge of mouth puckering - which is just the way I like it! If you would prefer something a little bit sweeter, use commercial orange juice and/or use a lemon-lime soda in place of the cranberry gingerale. If you would like to add alcohol to this punch, vodka is the ideal choice. Just add it when you add the soda and warn guests that it is in there as the assertive flavor of this punch will not make the vodka stand out!
1 pint orange sherbert
4 cups freshly squeezed chilled orange juice
4 cups chilled cranberry juice
4 cups chilled cranberry gingerale
Scoop the sherbert into a punch bowl and right before serving pour the orange juice, cranberry juice, and gingerale (in that order) over the top of the sherbert.
