Angel Hair Nests with Olive Eggs

Angel Hair Nests with Olive "Eggs"

Perfect for spring, this easy and delicious recipe makes a great appetizer, side dish, or entree and will add a bit of whimsy to your spring table. And all in just about 15 minutes total time!

Double Chocolate Sauce

Originally developed to serve with our Simple Bread Pudding With Two Sauces, we pretty much now use this sauce on anything edible in the house. It is a great simple, but not too sweet chocolate sauce for cake, cookies, ice cream, fruit, or anything else that goes well with chocolate.

Double Chocolate Sauce

8 ounces German chocolate
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup half-and-half, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla

In the top of a double boiler over boiling water, melt the chocolate, sugar, and 1/4 cup half-and-half. Cook, whisking constantly, until melted and smooth. Remove from the heat and beat in the rest of the half-and-half and vanilla. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Makes about 2 cups sauce.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
