Detail of Caramel Apple-Almond Crepes

Caramel Apple-Almond Crepes

A great dish for dessert or breakfast, these filled crepes are quick and easy to make, full of wonderful flavor, and make any occasion special.

Triple Chocolate Hot Chocolate

This delicious hot cocoa has extra depth and richness from using three different chocolates, all of which add a different and exciting flavor to the cocoa. Make sure to use high quality chocolates for the best flavor. We like to top these with dollops of real whipped cream and even more chocolate - but they are also great without any extra garnishes.

4 cups milk
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened Dutch processed cocoa
Pinch salt
2 ounces chopped bittersweet chocolate
2 ounces chopped milk chocolate
Whipped cream (optional)
Bittersweet and milk chocolate shavings (optional)

Combine the milk, sugar, cocoa, and salt in a large heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. Whisking constantly, bring to a boil. Add the chopped chocolates and remove from the heat. Whisk the mixture until the chocolate melts to make a thick and smooth hot chocolate. Ladle or pour into mugs and cups. Top with the whipped cream and sprinkle with the chocolate shavings. Serve hot.

Makes 6 servings.
