White Hot Chocolate
Made from a luscious mixture of white chocolate with just a hint of milk chocolate, this decadent drink is sure to please. Use the best chocolate you can find for the best results - especially for the white chocolate.
4 cups milk
2 tablespoons sugar
4 ounces chopped white chocolate
1 ounce chopped milk chocolate
1/3 cup Creme de Cacao (optional)
Whipped cream (optional)
White and milk chocolate shavings or curls (optional)
Combine the milk and sugar in a medium heavy saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat until the mixture just begins to simmer and the sugar dissolves. Add the chocolate, stir, and remove from the heat. Whisk until the chocolate melts and the mixture is frothy and smooth. Add the Creme de Cacao if desired. Pour into mugs or cups and top with the whipped cream and chocolate curls.
Makes 6 servings.
