Flourless Chocolate Cake with Whipped Cream and Raspberries

Flourless Chocolate Cake with Whipped Cream and Raspberries

Diet, Schmiet. Some foods are worth breaking New Year's Resolutions - and this cake definitely fits the bill. Delicious, decadent, and drop-dead gorgeous, this cake is one of my favorite go-to recipes whenever I need the perfect finale for a celebratory meal.

Beer Biscuits

This recipe was reprinted with permission from Frugal Recipes.

Light and fluffy, these biscuits are surprisingly good and easy to make. They go great with chili or soup. The herbs can be ommitted, or dried herbs can be used if desired. Just use whatever herbs go with the rest of the meal.

4 cups self-rising flour
1/4 cup sugar
16 ounces beer
1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs
1 tablespoon melted butter

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees and grease 12 muffin cups. Mix the flour and sugar in a large bowl. Add the beer and herbs and mix well. Fill the muffin cups evenly. Bake for 10 minutes. Brush with the melted butter and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until golden brown.

Makes 1 dozen biscuits.
