Flourless Chocolate Cake with Whipped Cream and Raspberries

Flourless Chocolate Cake with Whipped Cream and Raspberries

Diet, Schmiet. Some foods are worth breaking New Year's Resolutions - and this cake definitely fits the bill. Delicious, decadent, and drop-dead gorgeous, this cake is one of my favorite go-to recipes whenever I need the perfect finale for a celebratory meal.

Savory Crab Triangles

I first had a variation of these savory treats at a friend's party and quickly became addicted to them. Not only are they extraordinarily good, they are insanely easy to make, freeze like a dream, and are a great appetizer to always have on hand. I like to wrap each muffin individually in foil and take out just as many as I need when I need them. They even make really good breakfast or brunh food as well! You do not have to freeze them or make them in advance - you can just mix the filling, spread it, and bake them and have a hot appetizer in less than ten minutes.

6 ounces drained crab meat
5 ounces Old English cheese spread
1/4 cup butter
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
2 tablespoons minced fresh chives
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
Freshly ground black pepper
6 split English muffins

In a medium bowl mix together everything except for the English muffins until smooth. Spread the mixture on each English muffin half evenly. Place on a baking sheet and broil 4-5 inches from the heat for 2-3 minutes, or until bubbly hot and lightly browned. Remove from the oven and cut each muffing into 4-6 wedges and serve hot.

Makes 8 servings.
