Caramel Apple-Almond Crepes

A great dish for dessert or breakfast, these filled crepes are quick and easy to make, full of wonderful flavor, and make any occasion special.

Sweet and Spicy Nuts

These flavored nuts have a mild flavor that children and adults will enjoy. They are quick and easy to prepare and make great gifts, additions to nut baskets, or simply a fun snack.
1 egg white
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 pound favorite shelled nuts

Preheat the oven to 225 degrees and lightly grease a baking sheet. Beat the egg white until stiff peaks form. Fold in the sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Gently stir in the nuts, making sure to toss them until they are thoroughly coated. Spread the nuts evenly on the baking sheet. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the nuts are dry to the touch. Place the baking sheet on a wire rack and let dry overnight. Store the nuts in an airtight container.

Makes 4 cups nuts.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 45 minutes
Cooling Time: Overnight
Total Time: 50 minutes plus overnight cooling
