Angel Hair Nests with Olive Eggs

Angel Hair Nests with Olive "Eggs"

Perfect for spring, this easy and delicious recipe makes a great appetizer, side dish, or entree and will add a bit of whimsy to your spring table. And all in just about 15 minutes total time!

Chocolate Caramel Crispy Rice Squares

I have a guilty secret. I never met a crispy rice treat or any variation of them I didn't like. And while I don't normally whip up a batch for a formal dinner party, they are super easy to make for any party where children will be around and are very portable for picnics, potlucks, tailgate parties, and more. This version is filled with rich caramel flavor and mini chips for a great dish. If desired, you can omit the chocolate and/or add nuts to the squares for some simple variations.

Butter
14 ounces vanilla caramel squares
1/4 cup milk
4 cups crispy rice cereal
1 cup mini chocolate chips

Heavily grease a 8 inch square pan with the butter. Combine the caramels and milk in a large saucepan and cook over medium low heat until the caramels are melted and the mixture is smooth. Remove from the heat and add the cereal and toss well to coat. Press the mixture into the prepared pan and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top. Let set for at least an hour or until firm enough to cut. Cut into 2 inch squares and wrap individually.

Makes 9 squares.

Total Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes
