Flourless Chocolate Cake with Whipped Cream and Raspberries


Diet, Schmiet. Some foods are worth breaking New Year's Resolutions - and this cake definitely fits the bill. Delicious, decadent, and drop-dead gorgeous, this cake is one of my favorite go-to recipes whenever I need the perfect finale for a celebratory meal.





Peach and Lemon Sangria



This Sangria was a custom mix to go with the lemon and peach flavors of our End of Summer Grilled Trout Menu - but we liked it so much we have made it several other times to enjoy! We used a delightful Viognier (vee-ohn-yay so you don't feel silly in the wine store...) from Fetzer Vineyards and it was an excellent match for the peach-lemon flavors.

2 sliced lemons
2 sliced peaches
1/4 cup sugar (or to taste)
1/4 cup peach liqueur
1 bottle chilled white wine
Additional lemon and peach slices for garnish (optional)


Mix the lemons, peaches, sugar, liqueur and wine in a large pitcher until the sugar is dissolved. Let chill for at least 1/2 hour before serving. Serve (strained if desired) with extra lemon and peach slices.

Makes 4 servings.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Chilling Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
