Flourless Chocolate Cake with Whipped Cream and Raspberries

Flourless Chocolate Cake with Whipped Cream and Raspberries

Diet, Schmiet. Some foods are worth breaking New Year's Resolutions - and this cake definitely fits the bill. Delicious, decadent, and drop-dead gorgeous, this cake is one of my favorite go-to recipes whenever I need the perfect finale for a celebratory meal.

Classic Cole Slaw

This creamy cole slaw with its mixtures of flavors will make your tastebuds sing! We like this salad made a day in advance so the flavors can blend, but it can also be made and eaten immediately if desired.

1 small head green cabbage, shredded
1/4 small head red cabbage, shredded
3 shredded carrots
1 bunch sliced scallions
3/4 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup sugar (or to taste)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons champagne or white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Toss the cabbage, carrots, and scallions in a large bowl. In a medium bowl whisk together the remaining ingredients until smooth. Toss with the cabbage mixture. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, and up to 36 hours, tossing occasionally. Serve chilled.

Makes 8 servings.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Chilling Time: 6 hours
Total Time: 6 hours, 5 minutes
