Flourless Chocolate Cake with Whipped Cream and Raspberries

Flourless Chocolate Cake with Whipped Cream and Raspberries

Diet, Schmiet. Some foods are worth breaking New Year's Resolutions - and this cake definitely fits the bill. Delicious, decadent, and drop-dead gorgeous, this cake is one of my favorite go-to recipes whenever I need the perfect finale for a celebratory meal.

Hot Crabmeat Spread

This is a really savory dip with a little bite. It is very easy to make and is one of my favorite appetizers to serve in a hurry. This spread is fantastic with lightly toasted baguette slices, red pepper strips, melba toasts, or even tortilla chips.

8 ounces cream cheese, softened
8 ounces crabmeat, drained and flaked
3 tablespoons finely chopped onion
2 tablespoons snipped fresh chives
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon prepared horseradish
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper to taste
1/2 cup toasted sliced almonds

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Mix all of the ingredients except for the almonds and place in a shallow baking dish. Sprinkle the almonds over the top and bake for 15 minutes.

Makes 6 servings.
