Detail of Caramel Apple-Almond Crepes

Caramel Apple-Almond Crepes

A great dish for dessert or breakfast, these filled crepes are quick and easy to make, full of wonderful flavor, and make any occasion special.

Red Caviar Dip

Some things just do not need to be complicated to taste great. This is one perfect example. This is the perfect recipe to use some mid-grade caviar in. Do not waste very expensive caviar in this way. Not that it would really be a waste, but this dip is very good with a less expensive brand of caviar and the more expensive stuff is better utilized in a dish where it stands alone. Reserve a small amount of the caviar to garnish the dish with.

4 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
1/4 cup plain yogurt
1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/4 cup salmon caviar
Lemon peel curls (optional)
Fresh parsley (optional)

Beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the yogurt and lemon juice and mix until smooth. Stir in the caviar and mix until well incorporated. Spoon into a decorative serving dish, cover and chill for at least three hours or as much as 24 hours. Garnish with the lemon curls, parsley, and reserved caviar if desired.

Makes 6 servings.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Chilling Time: 3 hours
Total Time: 3 hours, 5 minutes
