Brie Butter
One of my favorite recipes for the holidays, this simple spread is excellent served with sliced apples, pears, peaches, or thin slices of French bread. The brie should be very ripe for the smoothest spread and best flavor. 1 tablespoon of fresh herbs or 1 teaspoon of minced garlic can be added to the recipe for more flavor, or to make a variety of spreads to offer. The spread can be made up to three days in advance and stored in the refrigerator. Return to room temperature before serving.
8 ounces brie
1/4 pound butter
1/4 cup white wine
Place the ingredients together in a blender or food processor and
process until well blended. Serve immediately or store tightly covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Serve at room temperature with French baguettes, apples, pears, peaches, or crackers.
Makes 6 servings.
