Italian Stuffed Mushrooms|

"I have to bring these to every party along with copies of the recipe. It is a great bachelor recipe and everyone loves them. I keep the cooked sausage in the freezer in one cup bags."
1 dozen very large white mushrooms
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 garlic cloves
1 cup cooked crumbled hot Italian sausage
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 tablespoons red wine
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
3 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Scrub the mushrooms. Remove stems. Chop stems. Heat oil in a pan. Add garlic and cook for one minute. Add sausage and mushroom stems and heat through. Add bread crumbs, wine, and herbs. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Fill caps with sausage mixture. Sprinkle cheese on top. Bake 15 minutes.
