Sherried Raisin Spread

Recipe Submitted by Melanie Weiss.

"We really like this for breakfast on bagels and fruit slices, but it is also good for parties with apple and pear slices or bagel chips."

8 ounces softened cream cheese
1/4 cup dry sherry
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons minced chutney
1/3 cup raisins

Beat the cream cheese sherry, ginger, and salt together until smooth. Add the chutney and mix until incorporated. Mix in the raisins. Serve immediately at room temperature for a soft dip or spread or refrigerate for better flavor and serve chilled or at room temperature.
