Spicy Pear Chutney|
Chutneys come in a variety of different flavors and mixtures. This is one is especially appealing with poultry and fish and is lighter than many other chutneys.
3 finely diced ripe pears
2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tablespoons minced cilantro
1 clove garlic, minced
2 shallots, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
Crushed red pepper flakes to taste
Mix all of the ingredients and chill overnight. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
