Honey Orange Cream Cheese
Flavored cream cheeses are very popular in our household, especially when entertaining. They are terrific on bagels, whole wheat bread, pancakes, waffles, and a whole variety of muffins, breads, biscuits, and other breakfast treats. This recipe, with it pretty golden color and fresh orange flavor is always a welcome addition to any breakfast table. The spread is excellent made in advance and refrigerated for up to 2 days before serving.
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon orange juice
1 tablespoon grated orange zest
Beat all of the ingredients together until light and fluffy. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
Makes about 1 1/4 cups spread
