Caramel Apple-Almond Crepes

A great dish for dessert or breakfast, these filled crepes are quick and easy to make, full of wonderful flavor, and make any occasion special.

Pear and Raisin Charoses

This is a great variation on that Passover staple, Charoses…also called Charoset or Haroset. This version is a bit more kid friendly and more elegant, while still keeping the traditional feeling and message behind Charoses. We make this all year round as a side dish or light dessert.

2 small pears, peeled, cored and coarsely chopped
1 teaspoon lemon juice
12 dried apricots, chopped
1/4 cup golden raisins
1 1/2 tablespoons honey
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons sweet wine, or grape juice

Place the cut pears in a medium bowl and immediately toss with the lemon juice to prevent browning. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour. Spoon into a large serving dish or individual dishes and serve chilled.

Makes 8 servings.

Chilling Time: 1 hour
Total Time: 1 hour, 15 minutes
