Flourless Chocolate Cake with Whipped Cream and Raspberries

Diet, Schmiet. Some foods are worth breaking New Year's Resolutions - and this cake definitely fits the bill. Delicious, decadent, and drop-dead gorgeous, this cake is one of my favorite go-to recipes whenever I need the perfect finale for a celebratory meal.





Welcome Fall Menu


Becky from Becky's Cookbook shares this delightful medley of fall flavored recipes for a menu that welcomes fall with open arms. Many of the dishes can be prepared in advance and most require very little active preparation time, making this menu very friendly on the cook.


The Plan

Up to 24 hours in advance

Make the Corny Cornbread.
Make Mom's Apple Slices.
Make the Butternut Squash Bake but do not add the topping until right before serving.
Bake the yams for the Golden Apples and Yams and assemble the dish.

4 hours in advance

Make the Caramel Apple Dip.

1 hour in advance

Make the Roasted Potato Fans.
Remove the Butternut Squash Bake from the refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature.
Remove the Golden Apples and Yams from the refrigerator and allow to come to room temperature.

30 minutes in advance

Make the Braised Chicken with Apple-Cream Sauce.

20 minutes in advance

Make the Wilted Lettuce Salad.
Place the topping on the Butternut Squash Bake and put in the oven with the Roasted Potato Fans and Golden Apples and Yams.
