Fall Fruit Dip
This is a very simple fruit dip that is marvelous with my favorite early fall fruits, apples, peaches, and pears. It is also marvelous with oranges and other fruits. To make a platter of apples and other fruit that browns easily a little bit ahead of time, sprinkle lemon juice over the fruit. You can use your favorite flavor of yogurt if desired. Berry yogurt, lemon yogurt, even apple pie yogurt work great.
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
8 ounces vanilla yogurt
5 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
pinch allspice
Beat the cream cheese in a small bowl until very smooth and creamy. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Spoon into a serving bowl, cover tightly and refrigerate for at least three hours. Serve chilled.
