Spicy Nuts
This is one of my favorite party recipes. Most likely because I always have a huge batch of it in the freezer and can take it out whenever I need a bowl of something to serve as a snack. It is very easy to make. This is quite a spicy recipe, for a milder version, just halve the amounts of curry powder, cumin, and cayenne.
1 1/2 cups whole almonds
1 cup pecan halves
1 cup walnut halves
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 teaspoons curry powder
2 teaspoons cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
salt
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl mix together the nuts and toss with the oil to coat evenly. Add the spices and toss to distribute evenly. Spread the nuts in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes. Salt to taste.
