You can use any flavor or style of pita. They are superb with my Black Bean Hummus and Roasted Pepper Hummus. For non-Halloween pitas, simple cut each pita half into wedges and brush with uncolored olive oil. The leftover pita scraps are great for salad or soup croutons. 6 6 inch pitas 2 cloves crushed garlic 1/4 cup olive oil food coloring salt and pepper parmesan cheese (optional) Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Split the pitas to make 12 slices. Cut each round into desired Halloween shapes. Mix together the garlic, olive oil, food coloring, salt, pepper, and parmesan cheese. Brush the mixture over each slice and place on baking sheets. Bake for 5 minutes or until crispy. |
