Halloween Won Ton Skins
These dippers made with won ton skins that are now available in most grocery stores are wonderful. They are like eating a won ton or eggroll without the innards. What could be better? They are great alone or with a large variety of dips or spreads. I have made a few changes from the normal way that I serve these crispy dippers. First of all I have added some food coloring to the butter to add interest to the dish. Secondly, cutting the won tons into fun Halloween shapes makes them perfect for parties. You can use the leftover pieces on top of egg drop soup, chinese chicken salad, or any other of your favorite oriental dishes. Orange pumpkins, plain colored ghosts, black cats and bats, and green witches make for really fun snacking.
6 tablespoons melted butter
food coloring
20 won ton skins
salt
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Add desired food coloring to the melted butter. Brush a baking sheets with some of the melted butter. Cut the won ton skins into halloween shaped pieces for what you are serving them with. Squeeze as many pieces as you can onto the baking sheet and brush the skins with butter. Bake for 5 minutes or until crispy and golden. Repeat until all of the crisps are cooked.
