Stuffed Monster Heads
These simple cracker like bites are excellent plain or when used as a base for dips and spreads. You can substitute sesame seeds or your favorite spice for the cayenne pepper with excellent results. Add a little orange food coloring to deepen the color if you are doing an orange and black party.
2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup soft unsalted butter
1/2 cup flour
1 1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Combine all of the ingredients well. Shape into a long roll, about 1 inch round. Wrap with plastic wrap and chill for at least 4 hours. Cut roll into thin slices and arrange on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 450 degrees for 5 minutes until lightly browned.
