Moldy Shrunken Brains with Miniature Lungs
This is a slight modification of one of my favorite vegetable recipes. Moldy Shrunken Brains? Brussels Sprouts. Miniature Lungs? Walnuts. Use your imagination a little bit. =) This is a quick and easy recipe to prepare.
1 lb brussels sprouts, trimmed
1/4 cup butter
1 small chopped onion
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
salt and pepper to taste
Cook the brussels sprouts, covered in boiling salted water until tender, about 10 minutes. Heat the butter in a small skillet. Lightly saute the onion until soft. Add the walnuts and cook until lightly golden brown. Once the brussels are cooked, drain and serve the walnut butter mixture over the top.
