Candy Corn Pizza

Candy Corn PizzaWhen I told my husband that we were going to have Candy Corn Pizza for dinner, his first response was "Yuck! That is totally disgusting." Just to clarify, the pizza looks like candy corn. It does not have candy corn on it. (Which I admit, would be pretty grotesque.) This simple cheese pizza is quick, easy, and lots of fun to make and eat. We used a storebought pizza crust for this recipe, but you can use your favorite pizza dough if you prefer. The candy corn on the plate was a fun decorative touch and is easy to do. A dab of marshmallow cream firmly affixed the candy to the plate, and it makes for an easy after dinner snack. A similar and fun appetizer idea is our Candy Corn Crackers and our Candy Corn Puddings make for a perfect dessert with which to end the evening.

1 prebaked pizza crust
1 cup pizza sauce
1 cup grated yellow cheese
3/4 cup grated orange cheese
1/3 cup grated white cheese

Candy Corn PizzaPreheat the oven to 450 degrees. Place the pizza crust on a baking sheet or stone. Spread the sauce evenly over the crust. Sprinkle the yellow cheese in a ring around the outside of the pizza. Sprinkle the orange cheese in a ring next to the yellow cheese and add the white cheese to the center of the pizza. Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the crust is brown and the cheese is melted. Serve hot.

Makes 6 servings.
