Chocolate Peanut Butter Witch's Hats
These chocolate peanut butter cookies are simple and easy to make with just a few ingredients but have great flavor and Halloween appeal. They store well and stay soft and chewy for days, making them perfect to make in advance for your favorite trick or treaters.
2 large eggs
18 ounces creamy peanut butter
1 1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup Dutch processed unsweetened cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 bag milk chocolate kisses
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Beat the eggs in a medium bowl. Add the peanut butter, sugar, cocoa, and salt and mix until smooth and a uniform brown color. Using a tablespoon and damp hands, form the dough into 1 1/4 inch balls and place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the tops are dry to the touch and lightly browned on the bottoms. Press an unwrapped kiss into the center of each cookie. Cool on the cookie sheets for a few minutes, then finish cooling on wire racks.
