Real Mold Dip
As much as I love blue cheese, it does not take too much creative thinking to make it gross for little ones. Just tell them where the blue in the blue cheese comes from! Adding a little blue or green food coloring to boost the mold also works well. Try this quick and easy dip with any of our "bat wing" recipes or just with your favorite vegetables.
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup mayonnaise
4 ounces crumbled blue cheese, divided
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Combine the sour cream, mayonnaise, half of the blue cheese, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a blender or food processor. Puree until smooth. Mix in the remaining blue cheese, reserving about a tablespoon for topping. Scrape into a serving bowl and top with the remaining blue cheese. Serve immediately, or cover and chill up to 48 hours before serving.
Makes 8 Servings.
