![]() ![]() | Vampire Bat Wings
It is prudent when stealing the wings from vampires to protect yourself from retaliation by other vampires (or the poor wingless ones) by cooking the wings in garlic. Lots of garlic! These tasty wings won't scare any guests away with their yummy flavor and aroma. We cheated with these wings and used garlic powder and chopped garlic from the jar, but fresh garlic also works well. These are excellent with our Real Mold Dip.
4 pounds chicken wings 1 1/2 cups squeezable margarine 1/3 cup chopped garlic 2 tablespoons garlic powder Salt Black pepper Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Boil the chicken wings for twenty minutes in a large pot. While the wings are cooking, prepare the sauce. Whisk together the margarine, garlic, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a large roasting pan. Place the pan in the oven and bake for five minutes or until the margarine melts. Whisk until the sauce is smooth. Drain the wings well and add them to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Bake for 20 minutes, then increase the temperature to 450 degrees. Toss the wings in the sauce again to coat evenly. Bake until the wings are lightly browned, about 5-10 minutes, but make sure not to overcook or burn the garlic. Serve hot or at room temperature.
