Bloody Marys
What could be better for Halloween than a huge pitcher of Bloody Marys to your guests? This is the way I prefer to make Bloody Marys, with a large mixture of the virgin mix and the vodka on the side for people to mix their own concoctions to their desired potency. This also makes it easier for teetotalers to enjoy this great drink. I add just a little hot sauce to the mix and also set that alongside the vodka to allow guests to adjust the hotness to their preferred flavor.
48 ounces V-8 juice
1/3 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1/3 cup prepared horseradish
3 tablespoons white wine worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons celery salt
1 teaspoon hot sauce
Bucket of ice
Bottle of vodka
Celery "swizzle sticks"
Bottle of hot sauce
Mix together the V-8, lime juice, horseradish, worcestershire, celery salt, and hot sauce. Chill the mixture for at least 2 hours or overnight. Place the mixture in a pitcher and serve alongside chilled glasses. Encourage guests to pour the mixture into ice filled glasses and add 1 jigger of vodka. Stir with a celery swizzle stick and add hot sauce to taste.
